Arizona: U.S Forest Service Considering Use of Motorized Vehicles to Retrieve Game in the Kaibab National Forrest!
The U.S. Forest Service has released a Travel Management Project (TMP) for the Tusayan Ranger District, Kaibab National Forest. Three management alternatives for motorized use of roads and trails are presented, including the use of motorized vehicles to retrieve game.

North Dakota: Elk Management Plan for Theodore Roosevelt National Park Released for Public Comment!
Until recently, the National Park Service has used park staff or contract sharpshooters to reduce populations of elk and deer within national parks to achieve herd levels that the habitat can support. As a result of NRA's advocacy for the use of hunters to assist in such operations, the Service is now obligated to consider the use of skilled volunteers (e.g. hunters).

Oregon Department of Administrative Services Extends Public Comment Period on Proposed Rule Changes!
As we have reported, the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), the central administrative agency of Oregon government that rents, manages or operates a majority of state office buildings, is accepting written comments on proposed rules to remedy conflicts between the state firearms preemption law and their current policies banning the possession of firearms on premises under their control. We would like to report that the comment period has been extended until Wednesday, December 31.

Gun Registration Scheme Retracted by Tennessee Department of Safety (TDOS)!
As we reported, the Tennessee Department of Safety (TDOS) was sending letters to all firearms instructors requiring them to complete and return a copy of a Handgun Safety School Class Roster within 24 hours of the completion of a handgun permit certification class, ?effective immediately.?
